Correct answer: (d) overlook

Your answer was: incorrect
The boss was good enough to oversee my mistake.

since you explained that overlook means "fail to notice", how come the correct answer is overlook. So, meaning of sentence will be "Boss is fail to notice the staff's mistake"

As explained in a previous answer, to overlook also means to excuse.
