What counts as a sentence in spoken language?

It seems to me that people often speak in fragments.

"ya get some of that coffee?" = "Did you get some of that coffee?"

"got it done" = "I/he/she/they/we (etc.) got it done."

Come to think of it, yeah, in conversation with peers I am constantly leaving out the subject. If the subject is obvious, I'll often omit it.

How about,

"What do you got?"

that might well end up being pronouncd "whatchoo got?" or "whatcha got?" in everyday American speech.

Again, whether one annunciates properly (or in a slangy fashion, as above) depends on a lot of things -- EG to whom he's talking, where he is, his mood, dental/oral health, etc.
