Both prepositions are right, but the meanings are different.

1. Jenny, you have responsibility for clearing up the room after the class

+ "responsible" going with "for" when the subject has control or authority over the object .
+ and vice versa .. "responsible" going with "to" when the subject has control - authority beneath that one , right ?!
