Hi everyone, is Ibrahim from Venezuela Wed Jun 25, 2008 22:31 pm  Hi everyone, is Ibrahim from Venezuela

My name is Ibrahim from Venezuela, I want to improve my English. My mean problem is to understand spoken English. I have a lot of problems with that. I watch TV news or films but I can not understand almost anything. This is a very nice place to meet people and learn English too. Thanks

Hi Ibrahim,

Thanks a lot for joining our forum. Can you please tell me what news channels and films you watch? Have you tried listening to MP3 podcasts that come with transcripts (the texts in writing)? I'm asking because this might help improve your listening comprehension skills.

Please let me know what you think.
Regards,
Torsten

How is your own spoken English? Are you able to understand how English words sound? Maybe concentrating on the phonetics could help...
