Hello! My name is Laura. I am from Romania. Thu Jul 03, 2008 12:35 pm  Hello! My name is Laura. I am from Romania.

I have started in octomber last year after a break 20 years.I have no problem tranlating when I am listening or reading in romanian but I have problem when I write or speak.I make many mistakes because my knoledge in grammar are very theoretical, I cannot use the rules of grammar now, when I write to you because, I think I need more exercise, or conversation. When I start to learn english I work alone with some books and dictionary and I think I have no speed...You understand what I want to say?

Yes, I understand what you want to say. The key to learning English is constant exposure to English. As for your grammar, you can take our exercises which help you learn the rules subconsciously. Here is an example: http://www.english-test.net/esl/learn/english/grammar/ei001/esl-test.php

Please let me know how many of the questions you answer right at the first attempt.

Many thanks,
Torsten
