This is really a difference in construction. You show someone the way but you point them in the direction of somewhere In other words show is simply reveal and point is direct.

hi,

If i say to someone who has lost his way that :'take a right n then left there u will find the post office' does it mean am showing or pointing him the direction.
Give me an example for the other..

Hi,

As I said in the earlier reply, you either show someone the way or you point someone in the direction of a place.
