Dear Torsten:

Thanks for your responding. I want catch the TOEIC certificate this year, as you said it was an excellent idea. TOEIC is an excellent exam too that is the reason why I prepare for it. TOEIC has another name which is commercial TOEFL(I knew it from some chinese forums). I think it will be a good supporter in my future buniess life if I achieve it.

But I don't how to prepare it and I am not familiar with somthing like that before. So I require your suggestion.

Best regards

Hi Torsten:

I have another problem that I do a lot of listening practice, but I can't find any progress here. I am confused now. Could you tell me how to deal with this skill?

Hi Avein,

How much time do you spend listening every day and what do you listen to?

Hi Torsten:

Time is flexible. I have measured it ever. I always listen BBC, but it is little difficult to me. And I like the moives and TV series such as "Friends".

I should correct you that you got a wrong name. Call me Avein, my foreign friends said it's totally strange name, wasn't it?

Best regards,
Avein

You can improve your listening comprehension by trying to write down phrases you hear. For example, the verb listen is usually followed by "to". So, on the BBC somebody might say "please listen to me" rather than "listen me". Also, you can can listen to a text and read the transcript at the same time which will help you memorize phrases correctly. In addition, you can record your own voice and compare it to the original version to find differences.

Let me know what you think.
Regards,
Torsten
