For translators: Developing their skills through interactive and amusing exchange Mon Jul 07, 2008 13:16 pm  For translators: Developing their skills through interactive and amusing exchange

Dawnies is an ongoing series of monthly contests for translators aiming at:

1- Developing their skills through interactive and amusing exchange of experience
2- Improving their market opportunities and pay rates
3- Developing an active and dynamic directory of translators that will show the proficiency of each member according tp field of specialization in a practical manner based on the results of the contests

Dawnies will not only gauge the proficiency and skills of each translator, but also their timeliness and response to tight schedules.

After lengthy internal piloting, Dawnies is now scheduled for official launch to the public on July 1, 2008. We expect that with time, Dawnies will evolve into a reliable source for clients to find competent translators on a best-fit basis, and an inherent component of the credentials of every professional translator. Members will be able to prove their abilities to potential clients by referring them to their achievements on the Dawnies Hall of Fame, which will actually play the role of the contemplated directory of translators.
