In this sentence the adverb pretty is used to modify the adjective good.

'Pretty' means 'reasonably' in this sense.

'That is a pretty close colour match' - it is not identical but it is reasonably close - it is not far out.

'I had a pretty good time' - it was not absolutely incredible but it was reasonably enjoyable.

Hi Ducanh.hut,

I assume when you say
Quote:

you mean both 'pretty' and 'good' are adjectives? You have to remember that 'pretty' can be an adjective as in this pop song of 1964

about a pretty/attractive woman and it can also mean 'quite' and be used as an adverb qualifying 'good' in the test sentence.
