Dear Mr. Torsten.
Thank you for your lessons and I look forward to learn better English with your help. I have a question here and I want the correct way to answer it. When you are the only child in the family, and someone asks:
Question 1) How many sisters and brothers have you got)
Question2) How many sisters have you got?
Can you ask 'how many sisters do you have?'
Which is the correct way to ask an answer?
Thank you.

.
Question 1) How many sisters and brothers have you got?-- OK
Question2) How many sisters have you got?-- OK
Can you ask 'how many sisters do you have?'-- OK
Which is the correct way to answer?-- "None. I'm an only child."

In my country, the usual question is, "Do you have any brothers or sisters?"
.
