Prof. Angelito Roldan
Director, Polytechnic University of the Philippines
San Pedro, Laguna

Dear Professor Roldan,

Please allow me to take a year leave from school effective on November 2008.

The reason is that, recently I’ve been experiencing financial problem. My salary is not enough to sustain both my living and education expenses. But I will do comeback immediately after this problem is solved.

Your approval will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

MARYJANE M. RAÑOLA

can someone comment on this??

I only know that 'problem' is a countable noun. Let's wait for natives' comments.
