What are the differences between begin and start? #1 (permalink) Sun Jul 13, 2008 20:16 pm   What are the differences between begin and start?

Hello everyone. How are you? I hope you’re fine and everything is OK.
I have a question about the differences between (Start & Begin). What are the differences between them? How could I choose the correct one if I have a multiple choice question like this one:

* I can't ....... to understand why anyone would want to be cruel to animals.
a)begin b) start.

Thanks in advance.
