Hi,

I went to see the Social Club tonight, and was quite amazed by their performance. The oldest guy was 90, and he still sang like a starling.

Have you ever seen them? If not, they'll be playing Leipzig for another week or so Wink

How did you see them??? Confused

Most of the original group are dead, who's currently in the group? I think only Eliades Ochoa and Orlando López, (and Ry Cooder, of course) are left, no?

I have the CD, one of my favorite albums. Candela might be my favorite track. If you don't speak Spanish, get a good translation. It's rife with sexual puns and innuendos. Even without getting all the word play, it's a great song. Surprised

Hi Skrej (that your real name?),

As far as I now they're a bit like the New York Philharmonics in terms of varying cast. There were 2 or 3 people in their 70s and this one 90 year old fella, but the rest looked far-off retirement age.
