Does belligerence belong to men? How would you like women to be, LS?

I can't imagine a woman exchanging blows with a man, and doing so of her own free will, for one thing. Women are usually not that aggressive, but of course there's always room for exceptions

I can't imagine a woman exchanging blows with a man, either, only because I can't imagine what kind of a man would put his hand on a woman.

Some women attack first, and a man has every right to defend himself in that situation, IMO. And you do know stories, at least, of men who do lay a hand on women, right? So you can imagine it, can't you?

Yes, of course the man should defend himself. But I would imagine a normal, sensible gentleman would only duck, avoid the blows or restrain the woman but not attack her back. Wouldn't you?

I sometimes stepped on my guy friends' foot when I'm angry, luckily, so far, they haven't stepped my foot back. :D

I would imagine that would be an option even if it were a man attacking a man or woman a woman also, wouldn't you? Whether it's sensible or not...

Yes, that would be the better option. But I would imagine, generally man would have difficulties in that department.

Not according to British police:

'When I wrote about the case last year, several police officers said that dealing with a drunk woman was far worse than dealing with a drunk man. "You use reasonable force to restrain someone," said one, "whether you're dealing with a man or a woman. And I've seen women who can fight back better than most men."´

http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/may/09/drugsandalcohol.gender

And ambulance people:

'"The women we see are probably worse than men," says Tracey Morrell, the clinical manager. "They tend to be more aggressive." She says some will try and fight the staff who are helping them, especially those who have been sleeping off intoxication. Last night, one woman bit one of the ambulance crew. The female patients, like the men, are often brought in after they've been fighting, or because they've collapsed after drinking too much. "I would say the women are on a par with men now," says Morrell. "We see about half and half. Although the women tend to be in the younger age range - from 18 to 25." She doesn't know why the women tend to be more aggressive than the men.'

Well, the example you gave is about people with binge drinking problem. And I also think there is possibility that men tend to think women are more aggressive in this kind of situation because it is so bizarre to deal with aggressive women.

So, to sum things up:

No one except Molly appears to feel they've been "stalked".
Molly invited MrP to visit. Some alternatives were mentioned by others.
Some people have suggested that men and women are different.
Molly appears to think women are more aggressive than men.

The topic of 'forum stalkers' seems to have run its course and the thread has gone off-topic. I'd suggest that locking this thread might now be appropriate.
