Ghost of a chance Wed Mar 03, 2004 11:52 am  Ghost of a chance

Hi Pupil,

This expression is used as follows: You don't stand a ghost of a chance of getting that job - and it means you have no chance at all of getting that job.

Stand Wed Mar 03, 2004 14:30 pm  Stand

Hi Pupil,

Let me try again. You don't stand a chance of doing something means you don't have the possibilty of doing something because you are not capable of doing it.
