Hello from Morocco! My name is Amal from Rabat. Mon Jul 21, 2008 16:04 pm  Hello from Morocco! My name is Amal from Rabat.

My name is Amal and I'm from Morocco. Its capital is Rabat, i live there.
My mother tongue is arabic and my second language is frensh. But, i speak frensh better than arabic.
I'm an hydraulic engineer and my hobbies are reading books and swimming. I'm also keen of travel. I visited, last month, London and i loved it too much.
I've been learning English for 3 years at British Council but i don't progress as well as i want. I don't speak English fluently because i need to translate frensh to English and, usually, i make mistakes.
I did the test 'Finish/End. My score was 7/10.
The rules given are very interesting : 'finish' suggests conclusion and 'end' suggets finality.
Many thanks for the quality of the lessons.

Best regards
Amal.

Hello from Morocco Tue Jul 22, 2008 13:12 pm  Hello from Morocco

Hi Amal,

Good to have you here! I'd say your English is pretty smooth after studying it for only 3 years. What do you do to make it better? Could you give a few tips for other learners?

Thank you,

Ralf

About my English level Tue Jul 29, 2008 10:51 am  About my English level

Hi Ralf,

Actually, i studied English in my upper secondary school and in the college. However, i forgot many vocabulary and grammar because i didn't use it after.
So, i decided to come back school 3 years ago.
At home, i try to watch English channels or movies in English with subtitles. Also, i read some English novels.
I think that the better way te learn English is to practice it in the day-life. I mean to spend some weeks in an English-spoken country.
I recognize that i made some progress when i was in London last month.

Dear Ralf, i really want to speak fluently English. So please, don't hesitate to correct me and to give some advices to make it better.

I'm looking forward to receive some lessons.

many thanks.
Amal
