How to ask one person to be on the phone? (Basic information) #1 (permalink) Thu Jul 24, 2008 7:00 am   How to ask one person to be on the phone? (Basic information)

1- Can anybody tell me how to ask one person to be on the phone?
"Please hold on the line" - Is this correct?

2- And also, when a person is on the line how to tell this another person -
"Williams is on the line. He wants to talk to you" - Is this correct.

3 - "Williams, is there any message to pass on to James" - Is this correct. Assume that, Williams is on the phone and he wants to talk to James.

Thanks in advance.
