Hi Techsavvy

In your first sentence, I'd pick (B) Just as scientists.
(Reason: Just as ... so = standard idiomatic usage to compare and show similarity)

In your second sentence, option (A) works best.
(Note, for example, that B and C both attempt to use the present perfect "have led" which is not an appropriate tense in the sentence.)
