It seems English learners are taught that "to love" cannot be used in the present continuous.
It can. It's used to show something current, most likey recent and probably a temporary situation.
Q: How is Sharon's trip? Ans: Great. She is loving Paris, and looking forward to Vienna next week.
That said, I don't like the McDonald's slogan, and don't find it to be a "correct" use of the present continuous. However, the people they are targeting are probably not too concerned with grammatical matters. |

Hi mdenglish
The use of the apostrophe (lovin') is a big tip that the slogan is supposed to sound colloquial. The word 'love' is used in the slogan with a meaning similar to 'enjoy'. . _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |

| I agree with Barb, that usage is totally normal and correct. |
