Only someone completely bereft of soul would say such a thing! I'm ten million percent sure you've seen Lambchop wannabes all over the place! However, the names of these Lambchop-wannabes generally begin with the letter in the alphabet that sheepishly follows L, and these Lambchop-wannabes often claim that they are not milky white! . _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |

And what's with this 'Walfie', if I may ask? Usually this term is only used in an endearing way to express admiration for a teacher or master. Even though I respect you for using it, I think it should be set aside for more ardent and passionate admirers.
Baaaa!! |
Well, I noticed someone else calling you that, so I just assumed it was a normal and expected usage, Wlaf! Why do you feel uncomfortable with the concept of being passionately and ardently admired?
Baaaa!! right back atcha! . _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |

It's the same in southern BrE; though I believe it can also indicate a background in the performing arts, esp. in the north west (cf. "Johnny", "Mikey", "Harvey", etc.).
Thank you for that, Amy! So many droll memories; not to mention startling coincidences:

Not know the most important language in Nigeria? It seems scarcely credible.

Why would Milky know that? When you figure the difference between Milky and M56, let us know.
Still can't figure out how your furtive and frantic back-searching fits with your "it doesn't matter, it only pixels/the Internet/a forum" attitude. Something about me and my kin seems to be VERY important to you. What is it exactly? |
