Hi, Ralf
A very interesting article indeed ! Now I know the proper terminology to classify the disruptive actions of some of the members around here and on some other forums. Before I was only aware of the word "flaming"/"flame". |

Hi Ralf,
Very interesting. It's fascinating that a word has been 'created' to describe what oldies like me would have called time wasters and showoffs. The only antidote to this kind of behaviour is to ignore it and not get enmeshed. Every time a ping appears, my advice would be, don't pong it.

hello, my name's Van Giap, i'm Vietnamese. In my country, English is a foreign language, so it's difficult to practice to speak English, do you have any solution? |

Hi Alex,
It is obvious you're referring to Stew here, and I think that is very unfair. After all, his English is heavily influenced by centuries of family affairs in a small Derbyshire village. _________________ Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL Preparation & TOEFL Vocabulary Learn more: How to Become an English Teacher |

Hi Alan,
I don't know why you're saying that older people are better at Ping Pong. I tried to find evidence on google, but not a single corpus could manifest the reality I wanted. _________________ Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL Preparation & TOEFL Vocabulary Learn more: How to Become an English Teacher |

First thing I'd do is ask for your above post to be put in the "right" folder. If you don't, may be accused of trolling. |

Hi,
Oh my golly gosh! Here we are talking about the way people are talking about what someone else has been talking about and then a still small voice (1 Kings Chapter 19 Verse 12) asks for help: | Quote: | | it's difficult to practice to speak English, do you have any solution? | See above.

And I thought you'd changed after moving to the 'big city'. But well. Once a ram, always a ram. No premiership material, that's for sure _________________ Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL Preparation & TOEFL Vocabulary Learn more: How to Become an English Teacher |

Good to see you letting off steam and testosterone in the "right" place for once, R. You seem at home in this thread. |

. For the longest time I thought trolls were leprechauns -- you know, magical little male fairies that are sometimes strategically placed on people's front lawns and in their gardens. And other than that, I'd thought trolls were only to be found in fairy tales.
Thanks for the information, Ralf. . _________________ Amy

Hi Amy,
Your perception has completely failed you. Molly is not a real leprechaun, because there is no evidence that this troll is a good catholic or that it has the magic touch.
And although one could think that those wee folks are strategically placed on forums, the truth is that they always emerge uninvited. They come in many a guise. _________________ Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL Preparation & TOEFL Vocabulary Learn more: How to Become an English Teacher |
