. Big and large are the same size, but are sometimes used in different collocations; usually, though, they are synonymous.
Giant (adj) and huge both mean 'very, very big/large'. . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

Giant (adj) and huge both mean 'very, very big/large'. . But in a book i read, they use huge instead of giant in this sentence: Every sound was huge, every game was grander, every pain was unbearable. Thanks in advance! |

. They could have used 'giant'. Or 'gigantic' or 'humongous' or 'colossal'. . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |
