Hello there :D

I just watched the ' Good Morning Vietnam' movie on TV (starring Robin Williams).

Just before the Jimmy Wah bar blows up, DJ Adrian Cronauer( Robin Williams) has a conversation with his Vietnamese friend Tuan about his sister.
The airman refuses to see her and says " She, don't love me ".
I have sometimes noticed Americans don't use the form " doesn't ". Is this common or just being "informal".

Thanks for answering

Hi md,

Yes, your assumption that he/she don't is a common informality is completely correct. I couldn't tell you whether it's more common in America, but I've heard it used by Irish and British speakers of English as well.
