In the following dialog which is better A1 or A2 ?

A. What do you do ?
B. I work at a bank.
A1. How about you ?
A2. What about you ?
B. I am a builder.

Hi,

I would prefer: What about you ?

How about you? would often be used when you want to know someone's preference or opinion as in:

A: Personally I can't stand that politician. How about you?
B: No, I don't dislike him that much.
