4. I would go with you rather than stay home.

Which of the above sentences are acceptable?

These are:

1. I would rather go with you than stay home.

#4 and #6 are possible, but less common, require a specific contextual structure, and carry a slightly different meaning:

4. I would go with you rather than stay home.
6. I would go with you rather than staying home.
