Usage of "tenacious" #1 (permalink) Mon Aug 04, 2008 13:38 pm   Usage of "tenacious"

Hello,

Please take a look at the following conversation.

Quote:
Cinta: I am so worried, will she (a cat) be able to survive the night?
Sayang: I'm worried too. But I think she'll make it through. She's tenacious.

Can I use the word tenacious to desribe strong will? Or will it be way too weird?

Many thanks,
Cantik

Yes, absolutely. You could use 'dogged' as well, but that'd sound a bit weired when describing a cat Very Happy

BTW, 'will she make it through the night' would sound a bit better for your first sentence.
