Usage of whichever, however, no matter how, whatever

... you do the job is not important to him.

a) whichever b) however c) no matter how d) whatever

I think b) however is correct. It sounds fine to me. Do you think that however is correct?

I'd say the author of the test expects you to choose 'however'.
I would prefer 'how' in the sentence, though.

I actually consider all of the choices for that sentence to be incorrect.

You could use 'no matter how' this way, for example:

- No matter how you do the job, the boss will only tell you it that you did it the wrong way.
