Learning i believe is continous, English language like any other languages is unique and can best be understood if someone gives adequate attention to learning and understanding it. It will be biased for an individual to assess his level of English language but more appropriately if sanctioned by a linguist or someone very vast in spoken and written of the language. I will appreciate a reply by the moderator on my level of understanding of English language based on this short contribution.
Thank you. |

Hy Torsten!
Could you recommend me an English reading software? It would be better for me if I could hear as well everything I read in English.
Thanks in advice.

Hello Torster! My nameīs Marcela, Iīm from Argentina and this is my first participation on the forum. As regards your question about how we define our level of English, I feel that I canīt tell you if I qualify for the Advanced Category or not (as parameters can vary between native and non-native speakers). However, what I can really tell you is that I am a "learner" who wants to learn a bit more each day. I think that when you want to learn a language, you have to bear in mind that this is a lifelong activity. I would like to receive more exercises to solve and if they are increasingly difficult, much better, but little by little. So far, Iīve found your exercises really interesting and profitable, especially those on vocabulary. Some of them are quite difficult (but I donīt complain, I enjoy doing them) Feel free to correct whatever is incorrect in my message. Regards, Marcela |

Dear Mr. Alan,
I'm very please to get your lessons, but they are too easy for me. I don't know which level I am now. I think I can understand more difficult lessons. Could you send me the lessons that are more suitable to me?
You can send me a test to check which level I am now. And then send me more suitable lessons.
Thank you very much
Yours Ngan |

Hi dear Torsten! How are you today? It was great the lesson 15! I learnt a lot! A agree totaly with you concerning "advanced learners" because it is important for me review what I had learnt at school for five years and because I am learnig with the lessons too. Thank you very much! The course is being very important to me, and please correct me if it is necessary! My best regards Sandra-Brasil |

Dear Torsten, Thank you for the lessons you have given me. I don't know at which level I'm now. Maybe it's intermediate one, I think. I believe that I'm good at English grammar, but bad at vocabulary. So I'm extremely slow when speaking and listening, and I even don't understand or misunderstand what someone is speaking in English. Many people said that the best way to learn English is practising it frequently. I try my best but I have no chance or circumstance to use my spoken English and to practise my English listening skill. I wish and hope so much that my speaking and listening skills will be better and better. Could you please help me? (I'm trying to listen to the BBC or VOA every morning and evening now.) |
