| Hi, everybody. So, what can I say on this question? Advanced level, in my opinion, is very high level of language. When you can speak without any mistakes in your speech, speak fluently and surely, speak another language like your mother one. It's level when you don't need any additional lessons to learn it. |

Hi everyboday, I could say my level in english is Intermediate- Basic, although I understand when people speak in english and I understand when I read some text in english, too. Something that is difficult to me at this time is to write in english, especially to write an essay. For this, for me this forum is ok, and the material that Mr. Torsten send us let improve our level progressively. I really believe that people always are learning, especially when you are learning a new language that is different from you itīs important to pay attention especially in the basic rules. Regards, Ann. |

dear Mr. Torsten i don't know exactly which level I am. But, i can consider my self as average but not necessarily as advance. but, sometime it's hard for me to understand natives. it's easy for me to understand formal English, but when it comes to slang, informal language, and the phrases (which is used by every native i met), it's really confusing.
I am Indonesian and we don't speaking English here. not even as second language.. will you put that on the next topic?
Regards Thanks |

The correct phrase is 'I am looking forward to collaborating with you' and it means I'm glad to have the opportunity to work with you in the future. _________________ Test Of English for International Communication TOEIC Preparation & TOEIC Vocabulary |

Hi
It is really not easy to evaluate my own language skills, but I think my English is rather good far from perfect of course. I am watching movies in which the actresses and actor speak English even if don't understand every word so I can follow the story line and I do read English book on a regulary basis.

Hi Mr Torsten, I think it's hard to define my level myself. Actually, I prefer the listening exercise because my listening skill is not as good as I want. Well, I think the lesson will be more interesting if it suits the learner's lesson at school. My listening exercise at school are often for CAE students so sometimes I couldn't catch the speed of the speakers. I hope that you can provide more listening exercises at this level. Thank you. |

Hi ... I don't know, but there are a lot of tests that measure your level of English, if you feel your an advanced English learner is because you have been successful in any of them other way you maybe are just guessing, and I think that if you are an advanced English learner you can learn English from original sources of real English and left English courses apart. Thanks ... |

Cheer Everybody, In response to ongoing discussion; I would like to add that perhaps it's almost impossible to claim one's own level of intellect and to be very certain about something without having checked by someone who is being able in a state to confirm or certify others. As far as my own English is concern I feel many flaws in both written and spoken english while I am pretty bad in using or understanding literature. If I talk about the level of my english; I can easily understand the main idea deliver in a piece of writing or an article but I get problem with the words that are of rare or less used or of some blue stock type. But I would find it no less than a favour if you add me in your advance learner's team or members. Here I would like to quote a very common proverb "practice makes a man perfect"! So I believe that by endless and steady effort one day I will be able to speak; write and read like a native speaker or inhabitant of an English country.
Many thanks and wishing you a good luck. Maratab |
