How good is your English?

Hi everyone! This is my first post at this forum :) It is hard to say in which level I am now.. I did some tests where you can check out your level and I usually reach upper- intermediate level. I find English kind of difficult language and I think there is no way you can achieve full-fluency if you don't get any practice. I am trying to create such enviroment, where I would be surrounded by English as more as possible. So there I am ;)

I`m Russian. And It`s very hard to learn english without a teacher.
But when I met your site I notably start reach the top of english language.
Maby now I`am not at the top but I know I`ll be.
I`m at shortage in talking with american people.

If we want to have a great level of english, there are 4 skills we have to improve, reading, speaking
, writting and listening. I've been working in these 4, I think I am not a beginner, but I still have to continue learning.

Although I studied English for long time before and I take full marks in exams, I had forgotten most of my English by time and even English basics. Hi tom,

Suchita this side,last i spoek to you about my childhood friend but you didn`t responded,why. Was it that bad if so, then also i wanted to know what mistakes i have made.

Now in this recorded message i will speek about the life style of Indines,but i request you to correct my english so that i must know where i have made mistakes.

The life style of Indines is very simple,spshealy in villages.They do farming .Women and men both work very hard.Indians usealy wear cotton clothes,because in India cotton pod grows.They eat simple food like rice,chapati,lagumes and vegatable.

But in cities the story is totaly different,in 10 to 12 years there life style is changed.Now both husband and wife both work in offices they come home very late so they can`t cook food.There fore they are dippended on fast food, which is not good,the reason of this childrens are becoming obase.They dont play out door games, They don`t excersise.

I like the lifestyle of Town not cities.

Hi Torsten,

I think to define your level you have to take a test. English is my second English so I think, I can't to be an advanced speaker in short time without native speakers. I can read your letters, short stories but there are not enough for high level. I'll try to increase my vocabulary, grammar, speaking and writing skills. It takes a long time. I believe one day I will be able to speak fluenly and easily as a native speakers.

:idea: Hi !! TorstenToday,I find a time to write a letter to you. I am from Ethiopia and I live in Canada since 2003. When I was my country I learnd English and French,
but I didn't use it. Now I start as a beginner,That is good for me .
When I woud searching a computer four month ago I have found Free email English course. I like this course, but same time there are repeation.
