"How was work today, Mike?" Dina asked. He replied, "You know; same old, same old. It was boring and long."

Correct answer: (c) old

Your answer was: incorrect
your sentence:
"How was work today, Mike?" Dina asked. He replied, "You know; same old, same time. It was boring and long."

Why right answer is not "time" while next statement(...boring and long) refers "time".

Thanks,
Paresh

Hi Peresh,

'Same old, same old' is an idiom and means as much as 'same old story' or 'same old thing'. When people say it, it usually sounds like same o', same o'

Take care,

Ralf

Hi Paresh,

Yes the correct phrase is "same old, same old" and there is nothing odd about it. By the way, it'll be easier for all of us if you post your question here.

Many thanks,
Torsten
