Phrase "Wake up and smell the coffee" #1 (permalink) Fri Aug 08, 2008 18:42 pm   Phrase "Wake up and smell the coffee"

I was replying a question about what was my favorite band and I remembered that there's a song of The Cranberries, my favorite group, that says "wake up and smell the coffee". I took those words literally, but I found out that they have a different meaning. It's a "said", isn' it? I can't remember what it means.
Can anybody help me, please?

Gracias amigos

"Wake up and smell the coffee!" means, "Pay attention and face reality!"
