I ask my boss one question. I want to konw whether the machine can run normally. And he give me a reply "I cannot imagine there would be issue but will come back on it."

So what dose it mean? Especially the idom "come back on it".

"to come back on it" in this instance means that he will let you know later whether it is an issue or not.
