"I have been advised that I require obtaining a certificate of our valid and continuing marriage from American's Court, which I can only obtain it by physically present and swear under oaths at the Court"

In the above sentence, present or presence? Swear, is it the correct tense?

Is it American's Court or American Court?

I think it would be better this way: "which I can only obtain it by being physically present and swearing under oaths at the Court."

Hi David

Basically, the whole sentence sounds odd to me, and parts of it are not grammatical.

Here is a possible rewording:

"I have been advised that I am required to obtain a certificate of our valid and continuing marriage from an American court. In order to obtain such a certificate, I must make a sworn statement in court, and be physically present when I do so."
