Which of the following sentences are correct

1.You should try not only keep on smiling but also talk with us.
2.You should try not only keep on smiling but also to talk with us.

Hi,

I'm afraid that both sentences are incorrect. You can say either (1) or (2) depending on the context.

1) You should try not only to keep on smiling but also to talk with us.
2) You should try not only keeping on smiling but also talking with us.
