. A curb? A bit of concrete at the road edge? I'd just go with 'greater durability'. . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

Hi Charles,
Thanks a lot your suggestion. It's just that I need to use both expressions -- higher resistance as well as greater durability. What do you think? Regards, Torsten _________________ Test Of English for International Communication TOEIC Preparation & TOEIC Vocabulary |

Hi Torsten
'Greater durability' is probably closer to the idea of längere Nutzungsdauer You could also say something such as 'the curb repair is more long lasting'.
For höhere Beständigkeit, what about using adjectives such as robust, sturdy or rugged? . |

Hi Amy,
Thanks for that. Yes, using an adjective instead of a noun is a very good idea. Regards, Torsten _________________ Test Of English for International Communication TOEIC Preparation & TOEIC Vocabulary |
