Are you talking about your SAT score or about your GPA? For the latter you need to determine yourgrade points.

I am talking about the math questions in SAT: a lot of them ask to calculate GPA and i don't know how. here's example of such task:
In a college, some courses contribute more towards an
overall GPA than other courses. For example, a science
class is worth 4 points; mathematics is worth 3 points;
History is worth 2 points; and English is worth 3 points.
The values of the grade letters are as follows, A= 4, B=3,
C=2, D=1, F=0. What is the GPA of a student who made a ?C?
in Trigonometry, a ?B? in American History, an ?A? in
Botany, and a ?B? in Microbiology?

So you are talking about average calculation. Maybe the following example gives you an idea of how it works:

The words grade, point and average give you a clue as to how you find your GPA. First you have to determine your grade points, and then you take an average. Every letter grade (A, B, C, D, F) has a numerical value assigned to it. It goes like this: A=4; B=3; C=2; D=1; F=0.

To find out your grade points for a class you have taken, multiply the numerical value of your letter grade by the credit hours assigned to the course. Here’s an example. Say you took English 101, which is three credit hours, and you earned a C in the course (Remember, C=2). Just multiply 2 (for the C) x 3 (credit hours). That is, 2 x 3 = 6. So, for this class, you have six grade points.

Now figure your grade points for each class taken. To follow the example through, suppose you earned a B in Psychology 201, which carries three credit hours. Multiply 3 (B=3) x 3 (credit hours): 3 x 3 = 9. If you also earned an A in Chemistry 110, that’s 4 (A=4) x 4 (credit hours): 4 x 4 =16.

Once you have figured out your grade points you can compute the average. You arrive at an average by first adding a group of numbers and then dividing one total by another. Since your task is to compute your grade point average, you need to total your grade points. Simply add the grade points from each class: 6 + 9 + 16 = 31 total grade points by the total credit hours.

Next divide the total grade points by the total credit hours attempted: 31 divided by 10 = 3.1.

So, your GPA in this case is 3.1.
