Hi Mona,

everything in the garden is lovely=everything is perfect

Please note that "an idiom is a term or phrase whose meaning cannot be deduced from the literal definitions and the arrangement of its parts, but refers instead to a figurative meaning that is known only through common use".

I love football, it's the bee's knees.

the bee's knees=the best

Take care,

Ralf

.
"Everything in the garden is lovely" is not a commonly used idiom in my neck of the woods. In fact, I can't recall ever having heard it used.
