What does 'to get around' mean?

Here it means as much as 'to travel' or 'to get from one place to an other'.

Hi guys

In the context given in the text it is quite literal.

In reference to people you can say;

"In my youth I got around a lot" Which could refer to travel or to sexual promiscuity.
