Dear Mouhcine,
Welcome to english-test.net and many thanks for your interesting introduction. Please tell me more about your university program. What kind of materials do you use in your classes and where are your teachers from? Also, how did you achieve such an outstanding level of English? I mean, when did you start learning English and what do you think are the best learning methods?

Dear Torsten,
First of all, pardon me for not giving answers to your questions quickly. I have been ill. I had been recovering well, but these last days I have experienced a setback. Please, accept my apologies. As far as your question about our university program is concerned, there are many faculties, Faculty of science, Art and Human Sciences, Economics, Law, and the faculty of business. There are 6 or 7 departments on each one. The classes are giving in two languages, French and Arabic, except for the department of English of course. You can find additional information on the university website: http://www.univ-ibntofail.ac.ma/. Concerning your question about the sort of materials we use in our classes, they do not differ much from the ones used in other universities. When we need to use some materials such as data show and computers we have to ask and get the permission first. You might be surprised to know that most of our teachers are Moroccan and most of them had been teaching in the US and the UK. Some of them are writers; others are active members on famous organizations. Thanks to them I have made a huge amount of progress. I have started learning English for about 4 years. It is always difficult at the beginning. You just need to choose the right learning methods, however. In my opinion, to learn a language, you need first to listen to it even if you do not understand. Like the baby. He speaks his mother tongue perfectly when he reaches 3 or 4 years old even before he goes to school. This is because he had been listening or just hearing the language all times. Another good learning method is to make the language around you all the time. For example, if you want to learn the English language, change the language of your computer, TV, and phone into English. In this way it is going to be part of your life and you will learn new things everyday.
Talk to you soon Best wishes Mouhcine |
