'terminology' vs 'jargon'? #1 (permalink) Fri Aug 29, 2008 15:14 pm   'terminology' vs 'jargon'?

Hi,
What's the difference between 'terminology' and 'jargon'? Is it only that 'jargon' has negative meaning?

Many thanks,
Nessie.

Hi Nessie

Yes, that's basically the right idea. The word "terminology" is quite neutral, but "jargon" is not.
