How very annoying! I never saw such luck, I always have to stand when that fellow lectures.

Actually, I think it means the opposite in this case. He's never seen such bad luck, as he always has to stand every time that person lectures.

Right. I didn't read it well. The basic meaning of, "I've never seen such luck," is, "That's the most amazing luck I have ever seen," but the speaker in this case is being ironic and saying the opposite of what he really thinks.
