Hi!

I ran into this sentence in my listening excercise and I didn't understand it. Could you please help me?

More broadly, "java" (at least in the US) has simply become a synonym for coffee.
"A cup of joe" is also a cup of coffee. No idea where that came from.

Also, sometimes just referred to as a 'cuppa'.

"Let's grab a cuppa."
