I don't understand the meaning of this sentence:
But a language like English is still evolving, and great harm can be done to it by THE IMPOSITION OF CRUDE CATEGORIES OF CLASS.

Hi,

I think it means that English as with any living language is still developing and changing and therefore it is difficult to put restrictions on how you would classify it.
