In my opinion, characteristics of a good teacher are high profession and good personality. Both two characteristics are helpful for students to learn.
Firstly, a professional teacher should have a great knowledge as well as an exciting teaching style. A good teacher should have to teach his or her students with the high speciality. As you know, in the opened world, students are very excellent and can up to date with the newest science, technology or society. In order to effectively teach students, a teacher also should have got a good understanding about other specialities including his main major.
Besides, students will not pay attention to his lectures with his sleepy style. Humorous statements will attract student’s attention. Especially, if in a language class, the monotonous voice sends you to sleep. Primary pupils don’t have enough ability to sum up information so that a teacher must have to not only write lectures regularly in the black board but also analysis them in detail. But if the analysis is not interesting, pupils will till forget it later.
Secondly, teacher should have a good personality. One of the most important reasons is when he or she teaches students, it impacts students. Especially, the young class easy followes thier teacher doing the positive activities. An other reason, once, teacher is responsible and hard working, he will find the ways to effectively encourage student’s passion. For example, if there is one student facing to a difficulty circumstance, the student can not keep on study. In this situation, the good teacher will not leave student only far behind. On the other hand, teaching effect as well as quality will be increasingly higher if the teacher takes care students.
In conclusion, if a teacher has both above characteristics, surely all the students will want to learn
