Dear Mr. Alan,
I cannot tell how grateful I am to you. You regular updates are helping me a lot. The current one about listening and hearing was in fact a sublime one. Could you also help me something about using 'in spite of' and 'despite'?
Yours

The difference between listening and hearing is the difference between being aware of something and to perceive sounds with hearing aid.
Thanks a lot

Hi, thanks for making me understand clearly the difference between listening and hearing. But may I give a comment about your essay. I think Mark Anthony is not one of the conspirators; it's Brutus.

Dear Alan Sir,

Thank you for your Essay "Listen vs Hear?. I really impressed by your test after
reading your essay, this way only we can judge ourself how far we have improved
and understood about your Essay. I request you to follow the same pattern in
your next essay also.

Now I want ask you, could you please listen to me or not? For listening one
should pay individual attention where as hearing one should hear the sound
like singing, music, and so on from outside whether we like it or not, am I right
Sir. Really I am good listener of music, to-day we are going to concerts to
listen an orchestra.

Thank you

hi
Formerly, i didn't know how to use between "listen" and "hear". But now, I usualy talk to my pupils: close the book, listen to the radio and check the answer. Somtime, i ask them: Can you hear what i say?
thanks
