I am very confused.
Are they the same thing?
Is what Renee Zellweger did in Bridget Jones Diary an english accent or a british rp accent?

And welcome to english-test! She adopted a pretty good English accent in that film. RP is a standardised English accent devoid of any regional or colloquial influence which you're not likely to encounter in real life Very Happy.
