Hi there,

My name is Marta and I am a new forum member.
I come from Poland, which is based in central Europe. Poland is bordered by Germany to the west; the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the south; Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania to the east; and the Baltic Sea and Kaliningrad Oblast, a Russian exclave, to the north. Poland is also a member of the European Union, NATO and OECD.Its capital is Warsaw.

My mother tongue is Polish and my nationality is Polish as well. I’m 27 and I have been living for 19 months in London with my mother and two brothers. I arrived to England after finishing my study, to learn and improve my English and to meet other people too. I graduated from Lodz University in Poland, at Faculty of Law and Administration.
I am single, calm and friendly individual. I like travelling, photography, meeting other people and their culture, listening to pop music and learning English. I have never been to the UK before, and it was my first travel abroad. I am planning to stay here for longer and go to study in London in the future.

My dream is to speak English quickly, easily, automatically and correctly, but I realise I need more time to speak well. When I try to speak English I think about grammar, which makes me sad, depressed and sometimes borrowed.

My spoken English isn’t very good,so this is my weak area. Moreover I feel stress, I am embarrassed and I am still afraid about my pronunciation,because I am out of practice. I would like to feel relaxed when I speak and don’t translate.

So what is the best way to improve English, to speak properly? I am also a little bit confused with tenses I mean the past.

Anyway I'm sure I will benefit a lot from exchanging ideas and thoughts with you.

Hello,

Many thanks for a piece of advice about that helpful link.
I'm going to listen to it in my spare time.
I have done a test about English articles and I have answered 10 questions out of 10 correctly on my first try.
I have some enquiries....
Please let me know where may I find some simple story or comment about the past. I mean the Present Perfect Tense/the Present Perfect Continuous/the Past Simple Tense/The Past Perfect Tense/The Past Perfect Continuous Tense...

I know how to create some simple sentences but I am confused when I am speaking...
Is there some story to compare it to better understanding?
I would like to see a difference in one simple story, because I have a trouble with that.

I look forward for any advice.
