Your sentence should read 'Hi, how are you today'?

The phrase 'how do you do' is no longer used in modern English.

I think, vying has two faces, 1) win. 2) Loss. Its your option to take one of them, I think no one will say "I do eager to loss" so do I, but there is one thing and its, while you are in the process of competition, no one achieves at all times, but those who accept the loss from their first turn, and didn’t try it again, at last they normalize to be losers in every confrontation they come in contact with, and at the end they got less hope and disillusioned, but when you loss first and try it again and again, hastily the signs of success appears before you.

Winning needs "try and error method", effort, concentration and much commitment to win, (think win/win, or loss/win) but loss/loss or win/loss are two of the steps which devastate man's visions, desires and brain.

Show me your face--English lesson 22

Dear Mr. Torsten Daerr,

I agreed with English-test.net that email addresses on the Internet can be easily exploited and abused by other people, but I cannot rule out the possibility of the learners' photos of English-test.net will not be exploited nor abused by others as well. For example, in the English-test.net, it mentioned how people in the business could retrieve and sell the Internet users’ email addresses to so called "spammers" (12. Why is it not a good idea to publish my email address on the forum?
http://www.english-test.net/community/3/index.html#Why_should_I_use_the_forum_instead_of_email
On top of that, I would like to add that in view of the current world situation, there are many cases of killings, kidnappings, robberies, rapes, political and ethnic conflicts, religious fanaticism, and so on.

Thus, I hope the learners of English-test.net should be given the option to display their photos on the English-test.net at their discretion. Alternatively, I suggest that all learners should display their photos after a certain stage of their oral conversation on the English-test.net. At this stage, Show me your face--English lesson 22, I think that it is too early to enforce the display of photos on the learners of the English-test.net.

Finally, please consider my proposal for the sake of all learners of English-test.net or at least please grant me the option whether to display or not to display my photo at my own discretion considering the perils of the current world such as those mentioned earlier. “Prevention is better than cure”, as the saying goes, and so I look forward to receiving a favourable reply from you. Thank you for your kind consideration.

Best wishes,
Bhikkhu1991a.

I prefer to see things from a different point of view then winners or losers . think I will be learning English for the rest of my life. Somedays this idea is fine but sometimes I do feel disapointed with me, specially when I make a mistake and soon after that I realize that. It seams my English skills are stuck and I will not be able to go ahead unless I have an opportunity to live "in ENglish", not in POrtuguese.

Re: When will you be a star? (English lesson 24)

Dear Torsten Daerr,

I would like to thank you for your kindness and consideration for granting me permission to display my photo at any time. Here I am reemphasizing that I have no bad ulterior motive about English-test.net, but I am keen to improve my English for the sake of my future. Of course I hope English-test.net will continue to prosper for a very long time.

Once again I would like to thank you for your kindness and consideration, and I hope to continue to receive your English lessons again. Thank you so much.

Best wishes,

Hi Torsten!
You are right. It is easier to speak with new friends when you can see the face of interlocutors. Very Happy The virtual classroom has feature. That is why would be better to change the photo at profile from time to time. Very interesting to read comments and discussions of professionals what helps us to improve the knowledge of English language.

Well I don't know a good way to do it. I still read books for young people. English teachers say it's best to start reading easy books but if you never read more difficult books you will never learn more difficult English. It's the same with videos. I still watch videos for youths.
