Qualitätsbeauftragter in English?

What would be a good English equvialant to "Qualitätsbeauftragter"?

Is it "person in charge of quality management"? Or simply "quality manager"? The person works in an education institution and is in charge of quality control for specific projects.

I was just thinking of "Quality Control" since I also need an equivalent to the German abbreviation QB -- Qualitätsbeauftragter.
